About K Brand
01
What does K Brand do?
+
K Brand is a founder-led creative systems studio based in Selwyn District, Canterbury, New Zealand. We develop connected brand, digital, marketing, learning, and experiential systems for organisations ready to be recognised, understood, and remembered.
02
Who does K Brand work with?
+
We work with businesses, organisations, arts projects, cultural initiatives, and creative communities at different stages — from those establishing a new direction to established organisations ready to evolve. We are selective about what we take on and work best with organisations that are serious about building something worth noticing.
03
Where is K Brand based and do you work internationally?
+
We are based in Selwyn District, Canterbury, New Zealand. We are remote-first and work with organisations both locally and internationally. Location is not a barrier to working with us.
Our Systems
04
What is a creative system?
+
A creative system is a connected set of strategic, creative, and technical elements that work together to achieve a defined purpose. Rather than isolated outputs — a logo here, a website there — a system connects everything so each part reinforces the others.
The result is an organisation that is easier to recognise, easier to understand, and more effective at reaching the right people consistently over time.
05
Do I need a complete system or can I start with one part?
+
You can start with one system. Many organisations begin with Brand Systems or Website Systems, then build from there as their needs evolve.
Each system is designed to stand alone and deliver real value independently. They are also designed to connect, so starting with one doesn’t prevent the others from working together later.
06
What if my project doesn’t fit neatly into one of your systems?
+
Not every project fits neatly into a system — and that’s fine. If you have a specific campaign, creative project, or challenge that requires a more focused scope, talk to us. We’ll look at what you need and determine the right approach and investment together.
Investment
07
How much does it cost to work with K Brand?
+
Investment depends on the system and scope. Our starting points are:
Brand Systems
From NZ$8,500
Website Systems
From NZ$15,000
Marketing Systems
From NZ$6,000/month
Learning Systems
From NZ$20,000
Experiential Systems

All investment is scoped based on your organisation’s specific needs and objectives. We’ll work through this with you during Discovery.
08
Do you offer payment plans or staged investment?
+
Yes. We structure project investment in stages — typically a deposit to begin, milestones through the project, and a final payment on completion. This is discussed and agreed as part of the scoping process. Talk to us about what works for your organisation.
Process & Timeline
09
What does the Discovery process involve?
+
Discovery is how we understand your organisation before we build anything. We examine four areas:
Organisation — your purpose, values, goals, and current capabilities
Market — competitive landscape, positioning opportunities, and sector context
Audience — who needs to know, understand, and remember your organisation
Existing systems — what is already in place, what is working, and what is not
10
How long does a project take?
+
Timelines vary by scope and complexity. As a general guide:
Brand Systems
6 – 10 weeks
Website Systems
8 – 14 weeks
Marketing Systems
Ongoing monthly retainer
Learning Systems
8 – 16 weeks
Experiential Systems
Scoped to event timeline

How do I get started?
+
Send us an enquiry via the contact page or email us directly at hello@kbrand.co.nz. Tell us about your organisation, what you’re trying to achieve, and which system you’re interested in.
You don’t need to have everything figured out. We’ll take it from there.
